even the trees are (heat) stressed




No, sadly, autumn has not arrived. The trees are stressed and dropping their leaves.

    Oh wow. That is hot. Perhaps I don't want to be that hot!! I would want to crawl into the fridge.

    My garden looks like some kind of anachronistic snow-dome! Except that the snow is vegetative - scorched green leaves, lemons, passionfruit. Tres sad.

    The trees pull all the moisture in from their leaves to prevent evapotranspiration (that is my new favourite word!)
